EXPERIENCE

 A Proven Record

With 18 years on the Fullerton City Council and 7 years on the Orange County Board of Supervisors, I have a proven record for open government, conservative fiscal management and innovative approaches to contemporary challenges. With 16 years as a teacher in the Brea-Olinda Unified School District, I understand the strengths and weaknesses of California public education — and how to improve it.

As a Director for the Orange County Transportation Authority, I’ve worked hard for traffic relief, streamlined projects and cost-effective transit.

I also serve on the Boards of the Orange County Sanitation District, OC Mental Health Commission and Southern California Association of Governments.

My recognitions include “Mr. Brea Teacher-of-the-Year” and the Orange County Republican Party’s “Local Government Official of the Year.” I’m the only candidate to have direct experience in public education, city government and county government.
